Mini Party in the Evening

Happy Birthday Jamie!

It's Jamie's 4th birthday today. She's finally 4yrs old. No longer tell people she's 3+. Haiz.... she's a big little girl now though I'm happy to see her growing well enjoying every bit of her life. This morning I decided to bring the children to their favourite indoor playground. This time, Jamie was very reluctant to leave and she weeped and whined a little when we left. One thing I'm pleased to see is, she is able to make new friends comfortably and can bid farewell to them when they left! Now I see a more socialable Jamie.

Birthday Party at School

The day is finally here. Thank God for the drizzle instead of stormy rain when we went to school at noon. It's so fun to see all her 20 over classmates sang the birthday songs (English & Chinese) to Jamie. And Jamie got to serve her principal a slice of cake + in return for a bday present from the principal ! I took some videos as well as a photo of Jamie wif the principal but the CF card's having some problem, cannot view!! Arrrgghhhh!!!! Luckily I downloaded these b4 and after school. Just hope jpapa can solve the problem tonite....

Bye Bye Diapers!!

Since early this month, Jeremy is able to indicate to us when he needs to go to the toilet. And one of the ways I used to encourage him is the same old method I used on Jamie. Who says reward system is not effective? I have been using EC (Elimination Communication) method since he was a 5.5mths old baby. So going to the toilet is not something new to him. Now I have problem looking for the right brief for him.

Theme : Sassy Sesame Street

Managed to organise a mini birthday party for Jamie this Sunday, 29th which is her birth-day. Ever since, I have been busy with all the prep works and I'm still busy! Here's the goodies bags & cake for this Friday. What's inside? Cheese rings titbits, mashmallows, Oleo biscuits, jelly, stickers & compass. Wanted to include a paper clay cast, but I may not hv the time to do it.

I Can Do It!

Just months ago, Jeremy wasn't able to accomplish this by himself. Either he cannot slot in properly or couldn't find the correct slot. This afternoon, as I was packing Jamie's room, saw this toy lying underneath her bed. So I took it out to let him play. Yea, he can do it all by himself! Good job! He's 19.5mths.

I Can Write

It's been quite sometime that Jamie hasn't been practising writing chinese words. Have been showing her how to write the correct strokes of words like sun, moon, man, water, stone, soil, fire etc. Today, we practised number 1-10.

It's always good to take a peek at Jamie's school notice board to find out what she's learning so that we as parents, can collaborate with the school to achieve optimal learning experience for the children.

Trimming

Wanted to give Jamie a good haircut myself but too bad, I'm not up to it. Hmm, she will looks gorgeous come next Sunday on her birthday!

My First Teaching Experience

Levine & her family are out holidaying in Japan since early this week and so I'm standing in for her K2 class. This is my 1st teaching in an enrichment center. Class size is small. 6 kids. But they are already a handful for me to handle! As I have been teaching Jamie since she's around 1, teaching is quite a breeze for me. May need to teach again next Sat if Levine can't come back on time.

Garang King

Whose feet?? Jeremy you bet! This boy ah.... used this walking stilt as a "stepping stone" in order to reach to his favourite remote control car.

Racial Harmony Day

Find this school very amazing, every now and then will get such "love letters" from teacher. I call it love letters cos it always surprises me with something new, whahahaa!! Or perhaps I'm being suaku?

This is our mischevious, cheeky & active Jamie!! She's wearing a korean dress to school today.

Socks Hand Puppets

Jamie brought home these 2 cute little hand puppets from school today. Isn't it cute?

Counting down

Time passed. Jamie's turning 4 on 29th this month which is next Sunday. Wow....4years !! I really cannot imagine our girl is going to be 4yrs old ! It's like she's just turned 2,3 and now 4! This year will be special for her as she will be celebrating with her classmates & teachers in school! And I'm going to be busy preparing materials and gifts so that we can start packing tmr during the 1 hr art & craft session at home!

Jeremy "New" Tricycle

Jeremy likes to sit and "ride" on Jamie's bicycle so I decided to get him a preowned tricycle instead. Looks cool rite? $15 only le!!!

Where Is It????

This is what we will ask Jamie whenever she misplaces something. What puzzle me is, she has very short memory for such senario but her memory is tok-gong (a.k.a excellent) in remembering events, flash cards and sometimes brain teaser games. One minute seeing her playing with it and the next moment, its gone!

Solitary Play

Found him sat quietly engaging with his favourite toys while Jamie & I were in papa's room. He sat there for at least 5mins,very cute!

Nutrition Immunology

Just when Jamie is recovering from cough & common cold, the bugs now on Jeremy & myself! Jeremy started to have onset of high fever on Friday evening and I quickly started him on E.Excel Millennium. Surprisingly his fever subsided after 1 day (which usually will linger for at least 3-5 days) and his appetite came back today!! I am totally amazed on how this juice able to help to boost his immune system to fight the virus vs the intevention of medicine. As of today, I can say that he is 95% on the road to recovery, no runny nose except occasion coughing.

It Works!!

I have been thinking of curbing Jamie's dilly dally attitude in school as well as at home. Since she has been pestering us to bring her back to Clubmed (actually she likes to play in the resort's room), so I told her that we will bring her for another holiday if she tries to speed up doing homework. I'm pleased with the results. Her phonics teacher just told me that she has improved in finishing up her work fast. And her handwritting has improved too!

Scooping

Have been stepping down doing these with kids for quite some time. Now I'm doing more brain teaser games & back to chinese flash cards with Jamie. While for Jeremy, very much the same, flash cards & this kind of gross motor skills exercises.

The Results

Received the letter from KKH much earlier this time round. As expected, Jeremy din get into the final but that's fine afterall its just for fun.

Dental Visits

The kids went to their dental appointment at Smiles Inc @ Forum this morning. Good thing I brought them down for a thorough assessment as I found out that I need to ensure Jeremy's teeth are being brush well daily as his teeth are so tightly grown next to one another which he has a higher chance of getting tooth decay. As for Jamie, nothing new except that she needs to brush harder for her back teeth. And I also get to visit to the dentist opposite our block for a good scaling! Oh ya Jeremy's consultation is free hor!! Yea thank God!

First Completed Scrapbook

Finally completed my first scrapbook just in time to celebrate our 9th anniversary. Compiling the photos is the toughest job.

Best Breastfed Baby Semi @ IMM

Brought Jeremy for the assessment this morning at 930am. Good thing we only waited for about 20mins. Assessment was short. However this time, can tell that they are trying to find out more on Jeremy, what he can do. Will be receiving letter w/i 2weeks from now....

Thanks for the beautiful Destinee diamond pendant that you have lavishly spent on me! It's really great to be back to the place where we first came together. I pray that we will have many more such moments to share together.

Happy Birthday Papa!

As usual, we celebrated CQ's birthday and I made Jamie to pass the lovely sunflower to her papa. Being a child who doesn't know how to keep secret, obviously this birthday surprise no longer a surprise to him, lol!!!

Bought this from popular bookstore and tried it with Jamie. Not easy for her. Needs very good logical skills to master such game. But I like it!

19th Mois

Big boy liao. Jeremy is such a blessing to our family. He is adorable, smart & chatty and he likes to copy whatever Jamie does. Can be quite scary though... imagine he stood on our sofa and said "Jump!" !
