Here's our 2 playful kids in their nightgown just before they bid good night to us. I purposely bought another smaller set for Jeremy so that he can wear the same pyjamas as his sister.

No Writing Today

Today supposed to be Jamie's chinese lesson but I have decided to stop giving her written homework for she has hurt her finger last night. What?! Well, to cut the story short, she disobeyed me and being stubborn, it was hurt when our domestic helper shut our bedroom's door. She has learnt her lesson well and let's hope she will remember this for good. Anyway, rather than letting her doing nothing, I turned on my laptop and let her watched the interactive PPT flashcards & she has her fair share of reading some stories as well. Next, we did the Montessori Phonic~blue scheme (4 words blends) exercise which we love to work around with and its definitely a whole lot of fun!

Special Fish Homework

This is our homework using any of recycled materials and deadline is next Monday, 24th Sept. My inspiration came only minutes ago and I quickly got all the materials and have Jamie to help out here & there and she did the outline & coloring by herself. What fish do you think ?

Scooping Exercise

Today I gave Jeremy a bigger scoop and I changed the objects to marbles instead. It's much heavier and difficult for him to carry out the exercise. With some guidance and instructions, he was able to complete it. He is now able to hold the scoop well and is able to scoop up and pour the marbles into the other bowl.

Parents Volunteer

Today is the deadline for submission of our form to the prospective primary school which we hope that our Jamie will be able to study there for her primary levels education. After much discussion, we decided to volunteer CQ , his photography & videography services and hope that he will be selected so that we will have a very high chance for her.

Excursion III

I received a letter from Jamie's school to invite Jamie for a 1/2 day excursion to the Underwater World at Sentosa on 3rd October. I'll definitely approve her of going since its also in tie with their Term 3 theme which is ---------- FISH----------- !!

Theme for the Term

Unless we take the effort to chat with the form teacher regularly, else we won't know exactly what our kids are learning since they don't report everything to us. So one of my purpose of "exploring" the school notice boards during Saturdays when I send Jamie for her Mandarin Speech & Drama class, is to check it out myself! Hey, don't say I'm kiasu hor... I just wanna keep abreast of what she is learning so that I don't do repetitive work at home mah :D

Term 3 School Holiday Homework

I love Saturdays cos this is the only day I can roam around the school's compound with ease. Saw the notice board outside Jamie's classroom showcasing their Term 3 homework. Thought I can't find our craftwork but its there!!! Out of 100 over nursery students, ours is one of the 45 odd face puppets that were selected.

Homework

Bought this from Popular days ago and I quickly let her try it. First few pages are quite easy so Jamie don't have problem doing it. Also started teaching Jamie using some of the grammar activities books I've bought last year. She did these 2 pages by herself.

Our Little Teacher

Jamie has taken a step to teach her lil bro'. Sometimes she will help me to make sure that Jeremy is not playful or when he is attempting to do something dangerous like climbing up the sofa, she will report it to our helper or myself. It's really good to see her demonstrating her role in the family and being able to play her part as Jeremy's elder sister.

Last Day of My HobbyCraft (Stencil Painting)

Jamie was exceptionally talkative and playful today! And she happened to choose the most difficult fruits to do! OMG... it took her longer that expected to do. It's very tiring for me to conduct a straight 5 days art lessons with the kids but I'm going to miss it....... hope I can conduct regular lessons at home.

Jamie's 1st Scrapbook

This is Jamie's work. I think she did it quite well. She is very good in cutting and can cut on rather accurately. However she needs more practise in her creative drawing, whahahahaaa!!

Day 04 of My HobbyCraft (Scrapbook)

I like today's craftwork as its also one of my favourite hobby! The kids had the chance to hands on with cutting, gluing, pasting, painting, drawing and writing!! They were quite hyperactive and excited throughout the lesson. I started with the introduction of what is scrapbook? Showed them what materials are usually used. Tomorrow will be the last lesson but I think I may have more of such ad-hoc lessons going on at home as and when there's a demand.

Clay Making

I have 4 kids including Jamie & am pleased to see that they were very cooperative in helping out preparing, cleaning & keeping the materials. The only thing is, I need to be bilingual as one of the child doesn't really converse well in English. But that's fine, at least Jamie is also learning to listen to instructions in Mandarin, whahahaaha!!

Fancy Face Mask

Today is the 1st day of My Hobbycraft since the start of the school holiday. Can tell Jamie enjoyed herself very much when she learnt and worked with her friends. She is the most chatty among them. Today we did the frog's mask. Looks easy but there's alot of preparations & steps for them to follow through.
