Partial Homeschool

Ever since Jeremy can focus and concentrate doing something longer than last year, I begin my series of homeschooling programs with this lil boy. Today, we did single sound phonics, knobbed puzzle, flash cards and ended with reading of books.

This is one of Jeremy's work. He loves to throw toys. Well, as a matter of fact, this is his last acts he did to his toys cars as I punished him deadly by keeping ALL his cars away from him for days...some still keeping till now :P

Free Painting

Wanted to do a purposeful yet theme free painting with Jamie for quite some time ago but dunno why it has never come to pass. After hearing what a friend did with her son, its kind of reminded me again. So just minutes before she goes to school, we quickly did one together.

Little Artist At Work

Today I cut out some shapes using potatoes and let the kids run their own imagination of printing with paints.

Just days ago I was trying to teach her how to write her last chinese name .. and guess what? She finally able to write her full chinese name by herself!! Din know its such an easy job for me :D

Scoop, Scoop, Pat Pat Pat

Got this pile of fine sand from West Coast and today, Jeremy has some fun scooping and digging. Definitely alot of mess but its good to train his motor skills. And one thing for sure is, both of them cannot play this together!

Geomag Magnetic World

Bought this Geomag colored panels so that Jamie can build 3 dimensional objects. Though mine are non-Geomag bars, good thing these panels are quite compatible, phew !

Another Milestone!

Teaching Jamie to write her chinese name has always been a challenge to me so I subtly introduce some basic strokes via cdrom & books when she was barely 3yrs. Though she knows the characters but writing is another issue. It takes the child alot of effort to write it neatly and strokes have to be accurate too. Just days ago, she asked me how to write her chinese name. As I was havng my shower, I vaguely remembered giving her instructions and when I was out of the bathe room, I got a shock! She's almost there ecxcept the last word "Min". I am so proud of you, Jamie!

Fireworks @ Esplanade

The last time I brought the kids to catch a glimse of the fireworks was 2 years back in 2006 when Jeremy was only few months old and Jamie, 2years+. We took a train and met Sherie and her 2 kids there. Though it was a short 5mins presentation, I'm glad that we can be part of the crowd, admiring & enjoying watching during this festive season. CQ was there too but he was wif 2 other frens who are also like him, enjoy keeping their passion alive. See here for more of his masterpiece.

Lou Hei @ Vegetarian Restaurant

Every year on the 1st day of CNY, we will sure to dine at this vegetarian restaurant. Food is so-so and I think their standard has dropped. This is our only pix family pix taken during CNY so far. Will probably have our family pix taken @ home studio this coming weekends.

Reunion Dinner

This year reunion dinner wif in laws' side was a simple yet delicous meals. We had the traditional hainanese chicken rice as dinner along with other side dishes. Gong Xi Fa Cai!

I Can Take Care of My Brother

Jamie suddenly asked for my permission to bath her lil bro' Jeremy and so I permitted her to have a short few seconds of being a big jie-jie lor.

My First Watch

Got this Nike kid's watch for Jamie about a year ago and I'm intending to let Jamie wears it to school when school re-opens next Monday. She is taught how to tell a time by half past an hour and hourly so far.

Reunion Dinner wif Shellen's Family

We had our advanced reunion dinner tonight cos like me, both my elder sisters need to have reunion dinner wif their in laws so we will host it earlier from our side. Every year, my sisters' maids will chip in to assist my mum during the preparation and cooking of the food. Since both maids had just gone back and the current ones are pretty new, my mum has to cook most of the dishes herself. Nevertheless, my mum's cooking hasn't really changed much though age has been catching up wif her and she must be exhausted after the long day in the kitchen. Thank you mother!

What's down there?

Caught this special moments........they fight, snatch, chase & do all sorts of naughty stuff but this is one of the quiet moments I enjoy seeing :D

Ice Ice Baby

Took out an ice and let Jeremy has some fun on it. Though he is still too young to understand the concept of different forms that water can turn into, I supposed he still enjoyed exploring the cold cold icy ice, seeing it melted away!
