We share information, resources and ideas on how to teach our kids at the comfort of our home. I will not be who I am without her for she is someone who is so much more creative and resourceful than I! Thanks Levine!

Birthday Goody Bag from School

This is Jamie's 2nd bday goody bag from her classmates since the beginning of the year. I am very pleased that she's finally in school, getting to know new friends, learning to queue up, work in groups and enjoy singing songs.

I am Back!!

Finally back to blogging after 2 months of rest!! Been very busy during last December and last month when Jamie finally in school!! Yippee!! But this month's quite bad as both Jamie & Jeremy fall ill since 2 weeks ago. They are now recovering after series of nebulising, various medicines and now on antibiotics. Thank God they are getting well! Will be coming back for more 2 months of updates!! LOL

Fresh Flowers

Fresh from Far East Flora at Thomson for only 5 bucks, cool! And Jeremy got to see so many different types of flowers and potted plants while his jie-jie was in school ;p

I'm kind of feeling guilty for not arranging a party bash for Jeremy though father-in-law has pre-arrange for a afternoon lunch at a restaurant. So, I'm trying to do whatever I can and ere's the cake I have just ordered :D

No-No-No

It's great to see how much Jeremy has grown each day and these days, he doesn't like us to hold his hands and he will shake off his hand whenever we try to hold him. For some reasons, he also loves to shake his head which I think he is trying to express his dislikes in this manner. Seeing him grow, Jeremy is somewhat later in achieving his little milestones as compared to his sister. Perhaps this is why many have told me that boys are slower than girls ?

Self Made Banana Smoothie

Jamie loves to do things herself especially after watching Preschool Power. Tonight, I allowed her to peel, cut & blend her own banana smoothie. After everything was done, Jamie sat down quietly and finished up the drinks , having so contented !

Bought this set of puzzles at Kiddy Palace. What made me wanting to buy is that it teaches Jamie the concept of before & after. For eg, white shirt after some painting on it becomes a colored shirt etc.

Recently Chunquan bought some equipment for home studio photography and so we took some cool pictures with the kids. Personally I loved this photo... Jamie's gentle smile & Jeremy's cheeky look! Right papa?

Caught Jeremy signing this "sleepy" sign that I taught him months ago. Two important signs that I taught him are, sleep & milk !! Isn't it wonderful to be able to communicate with a baby using sign language?

(04-10-06) A Day at Ah Yee's House

Since gonggong & popo were away for a holiday trip to China, so I brought the children to Lisa's house for a swim instead. This was also Jeremy's 1st swimming experience. He had a wonderful time in the pool while Jamie happily enjoyed playing with her cousin and was so relunctant to get out of the pool, lol!!

(23-09-06) Brainy Baby Arts VCD

Got this VCD from Levine free! The children had fun watching it! I find Brainy Baby has very good educational values as it teaches about colors, music, english, right & left brain, numbers, alphabets etc in a fun, lively and interactive manner.

Jamie learns about mixing colors and did some simple coloring activities. A very good handy device for young preschoolers!

(22-09-06) First Haircut

This is my 1st attempt to trim Jeremy's hair. Isn't it straight? So tough trimming his hair as he kept moving his head and turning his body.

And tonight we have finally settled Jamie's new single sized bed and passed her baby cot to Jeremy , yea!

Pre-School Ballet @ Dancepointe Singapore

So Jamie will be learning ballet on every Sunday starting next week onwards. Apparently I enrolled her for a trial lesson today to see if she is keen in learning ballet or not. After few attempts of seeking confirmation from her, the answer she gave was a "yes!" Can't wait to see how she looks like in her tutus and pointe shoes!

(05-09-06) 9 Months Old

I can't believe Jeremy is now 9 months old. It seems like time spend with him passes faster than time spent with Jamie when she was an infant. Oh gosh! I'm going to miss his babyhood soon :( This is his usual pastime... happily digging into the box of mini boardbooks, looks front & back of each books before throwing it as far as he can! What a mess!!

4 days after Jamie's toilet trained... she finally pass motion not into the diaper but potty!!! **hippie hurray!!** This really calls for a celebration!! And she will have her wish granted....4 Super Stars & moon !!

Bigger Challenge

Now that Jamie can pass urine into the potty, she is now being challenged to pass motion into the potty as well. Report from Home : Our Guys Are Down

Jeremy suddenly had running nose in the wee hours (suspecting he got it from CQ who is sick 2days ago) and the next thing I knew was, he's ill!! Without delay, I rushed him to the paed's clinic at Mount Alvernia. His appetite and milk intake has obviously taken a dip. Heartache to see him so unwell and not his usual self... haiz just hope that the virus will not pass on to any of us at home. [Updated on 2 Sept, 4pm : Jamie is now confirmed having running nose since this morning! And that's 3 now ;-( ] *1st time sick @ 9mois

(31-08-06) Let's Celebrate!!

Today probably is one of my greatest satisfaction so far.... achievement in helping Jamie to be potty trained. YES! She finally allow herself to pass urine in the potty the entire afternoon till bedtime, 3 times!! How I did it? Well, I simply encouraged and with lotsa of lotsa of patience and understanding. Of course also with the help of this little gadget which captivated her so much! :D

Peter Potty

A friend introduced this portable boys' potty to me few days ago which she has already placed an order with Amazon. I'm rather amazed by this little gadget and told her that she can consider passing this to me 2years later when Jeremy is capable of using it.

Mathematics

Did a simple patterns concept with Jamie this afternoon after chatting with a friend who did it with her 3yr old son. I'm pleasantly surprised that she's able to grasp the logic faster than I expected which I thought she needs at least few days more before I can see results. Well done!

(24-08-06) Jamie's 1st Dental Visit

After months of asking around, I've finally brought her to this dental clinic located at Suntec City. Thought this will be an easy job for her since we have been reading books about dental visits. But she simply refused to sit on the chair though the KidsCentral channel was switched on with the TV stucked from the ceiling! Finally she was willing to lie down....but it was on me then I lied down on the chair. The review : good set of teeth and no decay or whatsoever... but it confirmed that our girl's lower jaw somewhat is growing faster that her upper jaw. Dentist will review her next year.

After months of drooling... we finally see the little tooth emerging out !! Yea and Jeremy is 2mths ahead of his Jie-Jie when Jamie had her first tooth cut after 10mths of age.

Jamie chose an Art & Craft children reference book herself at the library on Monday. So I decided that we shall make full use of the book with her playdough. And here it is!!

I brought Jamie to The Science Center again this round to catch the Dinosaurs exhibition. Not sure if she's able to appreciate these long extinct creatures but I'm rather doubtful of the origin of these bones.

Coming to 8th mois

I'm pleasantly amazed that I am still breastfeeding Jeremy with ease. Unlike Jamie whom I gave her breastmilk till around 7.5mths, Jeremy has more of it and I hope I can do it till at least when he hits 1year old. We all know the benefits of breastfeeding but the most satisfying moments I experience so far is the bond and affection that we both share. I have enjoy every moment I have with him.....

Happy Birthday, Jamie

It's Jamie 3rd bday today and she seemed to be more playful & happier. I wondered if she understands the meaning of "birthday" ? Anyway, this year we had it simple for her, celebrated at home with CQ's parents, siblings & Jamie's cousins. It was relaxed, less busy and stressful.
