Where Is It????
This is what we will ask Jamie whenever she misplaces something. What puzzle me is, she has very short memory for such senario but her memory is tok-gong (a.k.a excellent) in remembering events, flash cards and sometimes brain teaser games. One minute seeing her playing with it and the next moment, its gone!

Nutrition Immunology
Just when Jamie is recovering from cough & common cold, the bugs now on Jeremy & myself! Jeremy started to have onset of high fever on Friday evening and I quickly started him on E.Excel Millennium. Surprisingly his fever subsided after 1 day (which usually will linger for at least 3-5 days) and his appetite came back today!! I am totally amazed on how this juice able to help to boost his immune system to fight the virus vs the intevention of medicine. As of today, I can say that he is 95% on the road to recovery, no runny nose except occasion coughing.

It Works!!
I have been thinking of curbing Jamie's dilly dally attitude in school as well as at home. Since she has been pestering us to bring her back to Clubmed (actually she likes to play in the resort's room), so I told her that we will bring her for another holiday if she tries to speed up doing homework. I'm pleased with the results. Her phonics teacher just told me that she has improved in finishing up her work fast. And her handwritting has improved too!

Dental Visits
The kids went to their dental appointment at Smiles Inc @ Forum this morning. Good thing I brought them down for a thorough assessment as I found out that I need to ensure Jeremy's teeth are being brush well daily as his teeth are so tightly grown next to one another which he has a higher chance of getting tooth decay. As for Jamie, nothing new except that she needs to brush harder for her back teeth. And I also get to visit to the dentist opposite our block for a good scaling! Oh ya Jeremy's consultation is free hor!! Yea thank God!

This was the verse we took for our wedding and I want to thank God for CQ for being such a loving, thoughtful hubby who always work his best for this family. Thanks for the beautiful Destinee diamond pendant that you have lavishly spent on me! It's really great to be back to the place where we first came together. I pray that we will have many more such moments to share together.

Tying Shoe Laces
I always have this impression that Jamie may not be able to grasp the idea of how to tie a shoe (though I did demo to her when she was barely 3) lace till she pestered me to get this when we were in a toy shop. Knowing that this exercise will improve her fine motor skills, I agreed to buy it. After showing her twice, she surprised me with the completed job done by herself! Wah..... this means that soon she can try on shoes with laces!!!
Shapes & Patterns
Found some time to dig out some of my teaching materials and this afternoon, Jamie was taught about the geometric shapes and its name like what is a sphere, cube, square based pyramic, triangle based pyramic, rectangular prism, cyclinder, cone etc. And here's she was doing some revision on simple patterns.

It's About Time
Jeremy finally hits 18months old on 2nd June this month and this also means that he is ready for some of the practical life sensory skills exercises that I will be lining up for him. Now apart from reading flash cards to him (either from cards, books or TV), I will excercise his teeny weeny fingers' muscles with the use of knobbed puzzles, picking up peanuts/beans or playdough. Soon he will be like his Jie Jie, working on activities books as well as computer. Wow time flies, Jeremy has grown up!!
Congratulations!!
Received the KK Juniors Club letter yesterday evening. What ?? Jeremy has been selected as one fo the semi-finalists for Best Breastfed Baby Contest 2007 ? What a surprise!!! It will be held at IMM Shopping Mall, Level 2, Atrium, 7 July 2007. Let's hope for the best then.

Campaign Against Dengue
The number of homes found breeding with the deadly Aedes mosquito is on the rise. In February, 140 homes were found breeding. This increased to 258 in March and again to 454 in April. The figures represent a three-fold increase in two months, a worrying trend that needs to be curbed immediately. Another worrying trend is the increase in the number of larvae observed. In February, NEA officers found over 4,600 larvae. This increased to 10,500 in March and again to 15,200 in April. This is more than three-fold increase in two months similar to the number of breedings found. Coupled with the increased mosquito population and a longer infective period for each female mosquito owing to the impact of warmer temperature, this increase in breedings can only point to one outcome if not arrested: more dengue cases.
