Rocfish vs Hi5 ??

A Father's Gift

Here's a peek of what I have just completed a mini scrapbook album for CQ. I find this very meaningful and hence decided to present this to him coming Friday when he will be going to China with his dad for 10days.

Underwater Puzzles

Jamie doesn't really like puzzles as much as some children I know of. But this morning, she suddenly took out this 37pcs puzzles, sat down and fixed it herself. Now I'm comtemplating if I should get few more of such puzzles for her.

Chinese Writings

I know Jamie is not the youngest child who started to write in Chinese but I feel that its time for her to learn the correct strokes at this age before its too late. And like English, I started teaching her the possible "sight words" so that this will help her to write more in future. *double click to see larger pix*

Mixing Colours

My lesson plan for him today is, letter N and its sound, chinese reading and mixing of 2 colours (Blue+Yellow=Green). Jeremy has been enjoying all my lessons so far and I just hope that he really learns something out of it.

Our First Experience

Brought Jamie to catch a live stage play at DBS Arts Centre this afternoon at 2pm. We had very good center fifth row seats. As its Jamie's first time watching a play, she remained silent throughout the entire play while I was laughing and giggling away surely had enjoyed myself too! Thumbs up for the organiser!!

L-O-O-K !!

He refused to remove the attire and insisted that he wants to go to jie-jie's school, hahahhaahaa!! This set of outing attire soon will be his from his jie-jie. I can't believe my eyes when I saw him wearing this, he is soooooo baby, unbelieveable!

Books

After my medical checkup at Raffles Medical Group, I quickly went to Popular Bookstore and grabbed some nice books for Jamie. =============================================== 1) Spot The Difference - This book is relatively priced low. Around $3.00 2) Guess Who Am I? - Comes in a series of 8 books. Well invested books! 3) IQ/EQ - Actually I have quite a lot of similar bks/tools but what made me bought these are cos' its in English instructions and its handy too! Can do this during travelling.

Sunlight, Water & Air

This is what Jamie is being taught. I told her that plants need sunlight, water & air to grow. Here, we did a simple experiment. One that is sealed up with little or no air while the other is not. Just shortly after a day, this is what happened.

Jeremy's New Train Tracks

I finally bought this tracks that's suitable for him to play from Ikea on my bday! Today I was having my facial in the bedroom while Jeremy was happily playing with his new toy for quite a long time :D

Jamie's 1st Spelling from School!

Today she came back with an exercise book from her teacher. Though I know she knows how to spell those words, but sometimes she can be as absent minded like me. I assume that since she knows how to read, she should know how to spell. But its not always the case. I remembered hating to learn spelling when I was a little girl and now its Jamie's turn!

Jeremy 1st School Excursion

I was with Jeremy for his 1st school trip to Singapore Science Center this morning. Apparently student below age 3 needs parental accompany so here I am. It was a nice trip though a short one. Jeremy was brave. He went up right ahead of the rest of the kids and had a up close personal contact with an iguana!! He wasn't afraid at all. And I found out that there's a tree house at Science Center!!! Just before we headed back to school, we took some group photos. See how tiny Jeremy is? Well, he is the youngest kid in the school!

Easter Sunday

Have been talking and sharing with Jamie the meaning of Good Friday, Christ's death and He rose again on 3rd day after His death. Though I couldn't attend the Easter service today due to my commitment in the pre-nursery Sunday school class, I'm beginning to understand it from a child's perspective instead. Never have I explained to the kids so much as now. I pray that our kids will one day truly understand how much God loves us that He gave His one and begotten Son, unconditionally to sinners like me and you.

Good Friday

While jjpapa was out with Jeremy to run some errands, I quickly did another Easter craftswork with Jamie within the next 30mins. Surely this is the season to share with her the true meaning of Good Friday & I pray that she will eventually able to experience God's love for her, personally...

Boring School Holiday

Cancelled my school holiday arts program, planned outings and we all stayed home most of the days this week. Why? Well, Jeremy hasn't been well due to some common cold and also the recent weirdo weather lo!!

Vintage Mini Album

I'm in the mist of compiling a series of CQ and my baby and childhood photos into this album. Completed the album and the front cover. Inside pages remain blank till I have scan all the photos.

Tada!

Finally completed our masterpiece! Many steps involved. Think we took 3-5days to complete this.

Rasa Sentosa

Promised the kids that I will bring them to take the train ride to Sentosa so we headed to Vivo this morning around 1030am!! Not cheap though. Adult fare $6 and children above 3 will be $3. Spent couple of hours at the hotel instead as it was drizzling. Found this kids' room pretty interesting so we played here for a while before heading back to Vivo.

Holiday Parent Child Craftwork

As I do not want Jamie to stay home to complete tons of school work given by her teachers, we started it before school closed. Here we are doing up a Name Plate using colored sand, ice cream sticks and paint.

Partial Homeschool

Ever since Jeremy can focus and concentrate doing something longer than last year, I begin my series of homeschooling programs with this lil boy. Today, we did single sound phonics, knobbed puzzle, flash cards and ended with reading of books.

Bye Bye McQueen!

This is one of Jeremy's work. He loves to throw toys. Well, as a matter of fact, this is his last acts he did to his toys cars as I punished him deadly by keeping ALL his cars away from him for days...some still keeping till now :P

Free Painting

Wanted to do a purposeful yet theme free painting with Jamie for quite some time ago but dunno why it has never come to pass. After hearing what a friend did with her son, its kind of reminded me again. So just minutes before she goes to school, we quickly did one together.

Another Milestone!

Teaching Jamie to write her chinese name has always been a challenge to me so I subtly introduce some basic strokes via cdrom & books when she was barely 3yrs. Though she knows the characters but writing is another issue. It takes the child alot of effort to write it neatly and strokes have to be accurate too. Just days ago, she asked me how to write her chinese name. As I was havng my shower, I vaguely remembered giving her instructions and when I was out of the bathe room, I got a shock! She's almost there ecxcept the last word "Min". I am so proud of you, Jamie!
