Jamie took home a chinese homework to be submitted coming Monday. While I was resting on the sofa, I seized the opportunity and asked her to match the words together.

Kungfu Panda
Papa rented the movie and got the kids to watch it on 2nd day of CNY. We have been tempted to rent this for the family to watch many times ago but was put on hold as CQ was worried about those violate kungfu acts that may "corrupt" their minds. Anyway, quite a regretful move. Jamie drew her fav "Master Shifu" last night. I think its quite cute.

Missing-In-Action
I have been off blogging for almost 10days although I'm still able to find time to log in to check mails n stuff. I am definitely busier becos we have just sent our domestic helper back home. And we are now without any help. If you ask me how I manage, well, by God's grace I am doing good except I couldn't whip up a 3 dishes 1 soup dinner for the family. For this, we've decided to get Tingkat instead.

Montessori Phonics

Preston
Ever since the end of school holiday, I've started Jamie again wif daily language, Math, IQ practise again. Now that she has graduated from Montessori phonics, I can now focus more on Grammar wif her instead. This is one of my fav book that I'm using to teach her. It's so thin yet a very comprehensive book indeed! I remembered I did this when I was in my school days too.

CNY Preparation
While the children are in school, I quickly did my last minute shopping at a nearby supermarket. Little ?? Aiya, can lah. Anyway, nowadays people dun eat like as if they haven't eat for years. Just snack, I think should be sufficient (still gotta get Bak Kwa le). Plus, we rarely have guest. Most of the time, we will go to in laws' side to "feel" the CNY mood. I am still hesitating if we should get the miniature lion dance gadget for the kids to play or not. And CQ been complaining not enough CNY ornaments to jazz up the house. Hmm, I seriously dunno where to hang those red red thingy ley.

Work for the little boy
I am in awe whenever I see how much Jeremy can accomplish by himself. Perhaps becos he's quite petite in size, we always think that he is still a baby. BUT this baby has grown and he is such a smart, vocal boy. I thank God for blessing us wif such an adorable, wonderful playmate for Jamie. Nowadays I see more of them playing happily wif each other, lesser quarrels and fights for sure. Here's some of the new assessment books Jeremy is working on. He is learning very fast, faster than Jamie when she was 3years old. I guessed this gotta do wif experience. I hope that I can do better wif #3.

#3 Updates
I am 10weeks 3 days pregnant as of today. Finally can see the visible baby and of course the heartbeat. Am very relief to see the positive updates each time we visit the gynaelogist. Will continue to pray for God's protection upon us that the foetus will grow healthily wif no birth defects, adnormalities or down syndrome etc.

Right Brain Stimulation
If you ask me if Kindergarten education is sufficient for children in Singapore ? Well, based on recent report, its definitely not enough! That's why, many parents are pushing their children, especially age 6, for pre-primary clash courses just to ensure that their children are well prepared for primary school education system. So what am I going to do wif my children?? To me, an early headstart in preschool is essential and as a parent, I would want to give my best of what I can teach them at home so that they do not end up not knowing what to do when they are 7 years old. Kiasu? No, I am definitely not one of those in the front rows. But neither am I at the back of the queue, gee.

Welcome 2009!!
Another year has passed and 2009 has arrived! Many times we all take life for granted, thinking that we have lotsa time and do not do things wif a decisive mindset. Busy wif family & commitments we all have and losing focus on what's important in life. I hope that as I grow a year older, may the Lord enlarge my tent and increase my capacity to serve Him and the community. I pray that I will continue to shower this family wif a hearf of unconditional love, care, patience & understanding. Let the mercy of God be upon me!

Certificate
Jamie received this certificate from the trainer at the end of the entire course. The trainer din leave a good impression for herself as she was late for 20mins on the 1st day and subsequent days, she was late for 5-8 mins! Not forgetting that she need to setup the overhead protector too. I spoke to her on 2nd day, wanting to find out what Jamie was taught and was shocked that she doesn't speak well wif occasional singlish in all. Nevertheless, Jamie did learnt something out from it. At least she is more conscious of her poisture, how to sit, walk & pose like a girl.

Christmas Party / Last Day of School
Today is Jeremy last day of school till it re-opens next year January, 5th. I've prepared 5 sets of Santa Claus shower gel gift for all his 5 teachers as an act of appreciation. Indeed Jeremy has shown improvements since he started school early this year. I pray that he will continue to learn effectively at home and in his new school next year.

Children Modelling & Etiquette Workshops
Jamie will be attending 3 days workshop (1.5hr each day) starting from today onwards. Although I have been reminding her about her poisture when she sits, walks and dance during her ballet lessons, I dun seem to see a breakthrough in her effort to do it. Hope she will be able to make conscious effort to maintain good poisture at the end of the workshops.

DancePointe Magical Wonders @ Victoria Theatre
The day has finally arrived! I'm so glad that Jamie had done her best and she had definitely enjoyed performing wif her group of "Mermaids" yesterday ! Her group did 2 shows, 3:30pm Matinee & 7:30pm Gala night show. We arrived 9am+ yesterday and came home almost 11pm. No wonder she was so tired and slept through the night till 1pm today!

Got back Jamie's year end K1 report card from her chinese teacher from Story Island this afternoon. I am very glad that she has made conscious effort in improving herself & there's nothing more I can ask from her at this moment. As a little reward, I took out a newly bought series of chinese story books I've bought from a good fren and gave it to her. Wah! We both love the books! Guess this is one of the ways I can help her to continue to grow to love reading so as to increase her vocabulary and hence converse better in Mandarin.

Rush Hour IQ Game
I love to play wif this ! So fun yet can be frustrating though. And Jamie now starts to get the hang out of it and begins to enjoy playing wif it too. As I was surfing the net about this product, I realised that there's so many benefits of playing such IQ games!
- Improves I.Q., memory strength and ability in judgement.
- A key in developing children’s IQ.
- Strengthen the speed and ability in judgement for the young
- Enhances personal memory
- Helps prevent Alzheimer’s diease.

Happy Birthday Jeremy!
Today Jeremy finally turns 3!! And a friend passed me a corporate card for zoo visit FREE! So I decided to bring them out for an excursion. This time, no animals shows or visit to the Children's Playground except watching few animals feeding sessions instead. We took a slow stroll at our own pace, admiring the animals and guess what? It's the hippotamus that the kids enjoy best!! Why? What else? Madagascar lor!!

Up We Go!!!!
Singapore Flyer, the world’s largest observation wheel. Standing at stunning 165m, the Flyer is the height of a 42-storey building – that’s some 30 metres taller than the famed London Eye. And so, this is Jeremy's 3rd birthday treat of the day after a sumptuous dinner at one of the restaurant located at the Flyer. Magnificent, awesome view !!
Madagascar II (Escape from Africa)
Birthday Programmes Planned
Due to unforseen circumstances, we decided not to throw a party for Jeremy this year. It's gonna be a simple yet exciting for the children as well as the adults (I suppose so)! Tickets were bought week ago to catch Madagascar II at GV Marina @ 230pm when Jeremy is back from school at 12noon. After which, we will proceed to the Singapore Flyer for a nice dinner and will head to take a 1/2hr ride at the Flyer ! And lastly, we will blow the candles when we are back home.

Tweedle Wink Program
Jeremy is now on Tweedle Wink after he has outgrown the Wink to Learn program. He simply loves to watch flash cards, be it via TV, computer or I flash to him manually. So I continue till one day he doesn't want it anymore. Whereas Jamie doesn't really like it at her age now although I believe Tweedle Wink will benefit her as well. Shall let her watch it and see her reaction later.

School Holiday Programmes @ Home???
I've been battling wif this issue if I should organise one next month? Reason for hesitating is becos I've been busy daily wif many things, big and small, errands and impromptu assignments. Wif the fact that I've to juggle both kids wif fun activities to occupy them when they are at home, I am also planning for outdoor activities & excursions as well as teaching them things that I would like them to learn.

Story Island Christmas Holiday Camp
Jamie will be attending the camp starting today to Thurs, 27 Nov every morning 930am-130pm. Hope she will enjoy the 3 days wif her new frens. Most importantly, she will benefit from the camp. Am looking forward to see her group performance at the end of the camp.

e-Learning
It's been quite a while Jamie has not been revising her HYPY. Here you go, she has abt 15mins of elearning by her own. Big girl liao, can do most of the things by herself, including bathing ! Ya, she insisted she wants to bathe herself, tie hair (though super messy and untidy, whahahha!), choose her own clothing etc etc.
Little Boy @ Work
While Jamie was having her lunch SLOWLY, I grabbed the boy to our bedroom and did this activity wif him. After months of drilling his motor skills in a Montessori school and at home, Jeremy should be "on par" wif his peers by now. He is doing good, able to recognise colors, shapes, counting in bilingual, initial sound phonics & some right brain training at home.

Simple Artwork @ Home
While Jeremy's in school, I quickly opened up this box of art & craft handiworks for Jamie to get down busy wif it for the next 1/2hour before di-di comes home. No wonder, its stressful to see kids idling at home during school holiday. Every now and then, I will have to plan some works & activities to keep the kids occupy so as t0 to make full use of this school holiday.

No More Training Pants
I finally made a decision to stop letting Jeremy puts on disposable training pants at night the moment papa was out on business trip. And this boy indeed has been putting me on my biggest smile every morning. Yea! You did it, son!
Welcome home !
I din blog this as I dun want the "whole world" to know that our "pillar" is out of town on business trip since last Friday. Papa is finally back home wif us!! No more freedom?? Nah.. its more bonding wif us instead ya. Look at Jamie's expression when she saw the gift from papa? Hahaha.... those cars?? Ya for Jeremy. But will only give it to him batch by batch when he is well behave.
