Good Friday

Few days ago, I have been telling Jamie what's the meaning of Good Friday though I reckon she understands it fully. One of the things I said to her was, "Jesus died on the cross for us so that we will have eternal life in heaven" . Then she looked at me & said "But mama, I will cry if mama dies & I can't find mama." In that split seconds, I was so sad and I replied "But Jamie, you will see mama in heaven when you die eventually. Isn't it great? Do you want to know God ?" she nodded. I'm beginning to enjoy such moments wif her and having some deep thoughts conversations.

Easter Day Homework

Jamie was given home assignment from her school. The note says "We are learning about colors right now. Please help me to make a colorful egg shape card....I need to bring this back to schoold on Monday, 9 April. Thank You."

Reading Session

When Jeremy was much younger, all he could do was taking and throwing the board books out of the box! Now, I am so relieved to see him appreciating books much better.

Odd~Even Numbers

Jamie has improved alot in her reading. She can read most of the words and look at her coloring skills? I am impressed!

Mighty Saver #1

Jamie finally completed her 1st card (she was rewarded 1 star sticker for not fussing over washing hair)! So I brought along $20 (supposingly her own savings) to bank into her account and to redeem the free gift which is a big A4 book! Also collected the #2 card. Hmm, I shall start the #2 with another target for her to achieve :D

Bookfair

Today there's a mini bookfair at the Community Club and while Jamie was attending her ballet lesson, I managed to have a quick shopping spree and here's what I got! *I went back the 2nd round with Jeremy and this time, our maid even got some for her son, lol!!!*

A Day @ Home

While CQ was busy buzzing in his work room, we had alot of fun in the living hall. We played drum, fixed up a playhouse to hide n seek, did some hands-on playdough and Jamie did her usual cooking stuff. These already occupied the kids the entire morning before Jamie proceed to her ballet lesson at 2pm.

April's Fool Birthday

Ya that's my birthday. Strange thing is, I dun have the "birthday girl" mood and everything still goes on as normal. I told CQ not to stress over giving me any birthday surprises since he is already very tied up with work as well as preparation for his exam this coming week. We can alway celebrate after his exam anyway. So I made Jamie sang me a birthday song and she drew me this card for me! So sweet!

New Mini Mouse

Jamie finally got herself a mini sized mouse to navigate whenever she's on the laptop! Not easy for her age to co-ordinate using her index & middle fingers but at least she is trying :)

Numbers Sequence

Never did I realised that such exercise is tough for her. As I thought if the child knows how to count, she should be able to know what's come next or before, right? But I was wrong. It took her quite some time to understand the concept. Every challenge that I face with Jamie is also a good lesson for me to learn! Afterall, we are laying firm foundation during their first 6 formative years.

Using Straw

Found this water bottle that once belonged to Jamie and I tried it on Jeremy. Surprisingly, he managed to drink from it only after one time drinking Yakult using the super thin straw! Kudos to Yakult!

Ikea Mala Easel Board

Went to IKEA this evening and saw this easel stand's price slashed further again! So I asked Chunquan to get it for the kids. I also bought the Mala's chalk & an extra roll of paper for drawing as well as for homeschooling purposes. Definitely a very good investment
