Lesson Plan - Patterns

After watching Maths Monster about patterns, I decided to whip out my Montessori materials and teach Jamie about patterns that can grow (Pix 1)! I didn't know about this till we watched the vcd. So I reinforced what we had learnt and I also taught her about sets in the patterns so that she will be more aware of the starting and ending of each set of the patterns. (Pix 2) I built the 1st set of the patterns and asked her to complete it. I will probably increase the difficulty levels to more complex perhaps next week.

My 1st Mother's Day Card

Have been wondering when will I receive a Mother's Day card from

my own kids ? Now finally Jamie is big enuff to do one for me!! Whether nice or not doesn't matter, what matter most is, I finally get it!!

Time passed... its been more than a year since I started giving her homework like those above. Initial period quite tough but after several practises, she has improved tremendously. And now, she can writes quite neatly and she knows numbers till 100, odd and even numbers, dot-to-dot (including odd & even numbers), beginning sounds for phonetic awareness as well as practising of chinese strokes etc.

Parents' Art Work

This is not the 1st time that I have to submit such similar homework from Jamie's school. Initially, it can be very fun but after doing it for the 3rd time, I started to sigh the moment I see it, arrrgggghhhh!!!!

Our 1st Electronic Piano

Have been eyeing one for the children since last month but I have been holding back the purse's string till I couldn't find it display at Kiddy's entrance this afternoon! I went crazy searching for it and found 3 sets left. Without hesitation, I grabbed one and headed home.... kids' joy = $39.90 invested

珍珠粉

A friend reminded me to let Jamie try this since she's coughing with phlegm. So I bought the highest grade of 珍珠 (equivalent to 12 dosages) for $96 (ouch!!). Thank God after 1 dosage, can see that Jamie doesn't cough alot and she gets to sleep through the night! Jeremy is okie at this moment.
