Brought Jamie for a free assessment supposingly to enrol her for June Holiday Programmes (v.unlikely & I just wanna know how she fair since she'll be assessed by trained teacher). The results turned out to what I expected. The teacher showed her some words (extracted from K2) and she can read most of them. So recognition of words is not a problem BUT she is a bit shy (or dunno how to answer?) & needed some prompting when teacher tried to engage in a conversation with her.
Looking at the rate Jeremy is recuperating, I'm getting more nervous and panicky each day ends. Why? Our holiday trip to Bintan Clubmed lor! But seriously dunno if he will get well fast enuff or not? He still has fever like a roller coaster throughout the day and since Day 1, I have not been sleeping well in the wee hours. Waking up pacifying a sick and cranky baby can be such a challenge for me!
Jamie was awarded the Bronze badge for completing the 3rd card. And I secretly banked in $500 to get a bigger mystery gift (comprises of penci case, eraser, luggage tag & a pencil) so that I can reward her as and when she behaves well. So her 1st reward, the pencil case!!
The plant has grown so much that the egg shell cracked! So I moved it out to one of mil's plant. Also see the yellow cactus above? Also moved out as it has grown so big that the pot no longer can hold it.
Jeremy has been coughing badly and so does his runny nose. I didn't sleep a wink over the weekends as the poor boy kept waking up ,having difficulty in breathing. Need to bring him to his PD later to suck out the mucus in his throat & nose so that he will feel better. Probably need to nebulise too.
Every time before term's break, Jamie's school will have a mini concert with the morning & afternoon sessions pupils. As usual, we went to her school and managed to watch part of it before heading to the wet market.
After almost 3months free from virus and bacteria infection, Jeremy is down with runny nose. I'm crossing my fingers that both kids will be well again to enjoy our holiday trip this coming June.
This morning Jamie came to me wif 2 cut out triangles which she did it herself. Then she said, I can make a star! After that, she asked me to draw her a smaller star which she cut it out. Nice?
I chanced upon the DVD format of workout flashcards fromBaby Brainat Kiddy Palace yesterday and decidedto get it since its only 20% off. Minimal work from me as I just make sure I turn on the TV & DVD player and everything will auto pilot on its own. Cool! (I still read I Can Read with Jeremy a book daily while Jamie is now on another series of Chinese story books~ Huayu Baoku from A-Star Interactive).
Tins throwing, drumming, singing, loud screams and running about in the house were what you will witness in my house this morning. I do not have any concrete program for the children so I took 6 empty Pediasure tins out, filled some tins with green beans & sealed the lid. The kids hav fun using balls to hit the tins, shaked and rolled the tins!!
Here, I find my own sanity's world to recap all the children's developmental's progress as well as thoughts to share. Jamie, our first born, has turned 17, 9 years after I started this blog. Followed by Jeremy, turning 15 coming December. Joshua, the youngest in the family, just turned 11yo. Time flies ! I have just managed to retrieve access to this maiden blog after 9 long years of inactivity LOL
