These are one of the recent flash cards that I've added into their daily flash cards sessions. Tongue twisters!! And its not easy to read it wif speed !!
It's Jeremy's 1st time celebrating at his school. Too bad I din get to see the performance although the program has been quite the same for the past 2 years. Anyway, he wasn't involved in the dressing up competition so that's fine.
Ever since Jamie has been absence from school a week ago, she already has quite a handful of school work to catch up. In order to help her to keep abreast of what's going on in class, I sent text msg to Ms Yew, asking her to hand me those works that she has missed out so that Jamie can do it at home instead. At one glance, I'm surprised that the school is still giving as much school and weekends homework as before even though they do not have lessons on every Thur and Fri (rehearsals for graduation) since start of Term 4.
Ms Yew was here visiting Jamie earlier on and passed her a stack of "get well" cards drew by her classmates. It was so amazing to know that kids at this age are so expressive in their own ways. Don't know about Jamie but if I were her, I will be very touched for sure!!
Jamie is finally back home late evening today!! It was first time of her life to be away from me for an entire week!! Thank God she is recovering well and she will have another 7 days MC this week to rest and recuperate at home till she's back to school next week.
This is one of Shichida's sought after right brain exercise that many parents love ! I managed to get this preowned set from a mummy months ago and have been training Jamie & Jeremy since then.
Finally she is on treatment! I have always thought that Jamie is still too young to go through this ordeal and have been worry sick for her when I came to know that she has to go thru IVIG. And also worry how her body is taking this altogether, worry if the treatment will have any side effects on her, worry if she will scream and yell when the needle is inserted into her vein etc etc. And to everybody's surprise, she is taking the "poke" very well. Indeed she has grown up, more matured and sensible. Pray that the medication will give her a big boost on the road to recovery. I am looking forward to receive Jamie at the door to celebrate Children's Day next Wed.
Jamie is now in KKH, suspected of contracting Kawasaki disease and we admitted her on Monday night to play safe. Nothing happening till Wednesday when blood was drawn out from her veins which she yelled and screamed so hard that the blood vessels in her right eye burst! Lab tests were performed and doctor couldn't 100% confirmed its Kawasaki. Nevertheless, Dr said its better that she should be treated wif IVIG within the first 10days in order to minimise damage to her heart & blood vessels . I am praying that she will recover well wif no complications, side effects & hopefully to be able to go back to normal activities soon.
Now that Josh is approaching 7wks old and is more awake during the daytime, I've started him slowly on few things and this is one of them. Soon, he will be on flash cards.
Jeremy needs alot of nibbling, pressing, pinching, fingers exercises to make way for writing skills hopefully by this year. I have been slackened wif him since early this year but am determine to start formally on activity books again!
I'm kind of getting used to be a mother of 3 though at this moment, it can be quite a handful for me to handle especially when I need to coach Jamie and Jeremy for some flash cards and right brain activities. See the 2 brothers?? I can say , they have features of their own though people say Joshua looks like his big brother.
It's been quite a while Jamie has not been doing it and today she was doing Astar Grammar cdrom. Since she can read and move around wif computer, its very much "auto-pilot" for her.
See how comfortably & sound Josh is sleeping ?? Too bad it traps heat and he will cry about 20mins into his sleep. So will be clearing this off. Anybody keen??
This was taken abt 2 wks ago on Saturday morning before Jeremy's Madarin Speech & Drama at school. Kor-kor has been very sweet since di-di was born. He loves to kiss, hug and rock Joshua. Pray that both of them will grow to have a close bond between both of them.
Here, I find my own sanity's world to recap all the children's developmental's progress as well as thoughts to share. Jamie, our first born, has turned 17, 9 years after I started this blog. Followed by Jeremy, turning 15 coming December. Joshua, the youngest in the family, just turned 11yo. Time flies ! I have just managed to retrieve access to this maiden blog after 9 long years of inactivity LOL
