24 April 2005 - Our Last Day ...

This morning, we finally checked out from our cosy apartment to a 3-star hotel (Goodearth Hotel) just 5mins walk away, to deposit our luggages there since our flight is almost pass midnight, 2355hrs! Overlooking the Swan River from our 7th floor window Raising of flags on Anzac Day (to commemorate those who died in the war..) ..walking towards the Swan Bell along the coast of Swan River

I am very thirsty! Mama pls buy me a drink pls..... We are finally at The Swan Bell and one can loudly hear the bells ringing in the air from the Tower of course!! ... a different view from roof top volunteers busy pulling their respective strings in order to ring the bells at level 3... wow look! papa!! BIG bells!!! whao.... now I finally know how people tell the time in the older days.... CQ secretly took a snap of our dd enjoying walking alone in a straight path... Jamie can pronoun flower in Mandarin so much accurate than in English

Lovely Apartment ~ Mont Clare Boutique Apartment

This is the 1 bedroom apartment that we put up during our stay there.
We have decided to stay in a apartment vs a typical hotel room (generally a 4star hotel easily range between $120-$200 and above) as we felt that at least when Jamie goes to bed, we will have some private time catching up with each other or even watch a movie into the wee hours, without disturbing Jamie.
It is conveniently located near Perth city and has indeed exceeded my minimal expectation! Those digital pictures that I saw on the internet just don't do justice to it! Though we have invested A$120 per night but this is definitely worth our money!! And being KS, I even chose this apartment for it comes with a heated swimming pool and a gym although we didn't make use of the facilities. Can't think of anything that is lacking in the apartment...

23 April 2005 - Fremantle via Captain Cook Cruise

This day, we took the 1hr & 20mins cruise ride from Captain Cook Cruise along Swan River to our next destination, Fremantle. Though it cost us A$68 but it worth the ride as we had a wonderful cool ride along the river (but the weather wasn't good for photography!) (playful Jamie hiding among the piles of plates) (papa & Jamie at Fremantle) (A Must-Try at this famous Fish N Chips Resturant when you visit Fremantle) (little Jamie posing for camera shots!) ("... swing, swing your legs, Jamie..") (Yea I am taking photo with the M!!) (Papa bought me my 1st lollipop !!) (finally the 3 of us !) ____________________________________________________________________ PART II (back to Perth City) There's this mega-big green pasture near the jetty (bigger than the biggest field in Singapore!!) And guess what? Jamie had lotsa fun running and running ..endlessly .. here is also where she burst out her energy freely, no worry about knocking onto trees or anything. And I suppose here is where it has affirmed her of her "running skill" where she can't do so at home. But really, we were all so tired after running and catching one another. But its all fun. No sweat while enjoying the cool breeze !

22 April 2005 - Perth Zoo

We were utterly disappointed after spending A$33 (A$16 per adult & A$1 for a paper map. Children under 4 is free admission) and ending up fully exhausted and worn out! Definitely a thumbs up for visiting our own Zoo !! At least its cheaper (S$13 per adult) here !! Well, I was expecting at least to catch a glimspe of a giraffe here since the last time when I brought Jamie to the Singapore Zoological and was told that giraffe will only be back in the zoo few months later. To my dismay, not only we couldn't see a single giraffe, its barely difficult to see a handful of animal in Perth Zoo as well!! If you can see 2 lions, you are d*** lucky! And the weather is killing us. This probably is the hottest day during our stay there. And we gotta walked uphill, downhill and at the end of the day, we only managed to see 2-3 Orang-Utan, 1 hippo, 2 monkeys, 1 lion, 1 tiger, 1 leopard, 2 elephants & 1 wombat. These are what I can recalled. Imagine, we were standing in front of the description board reading, and then, staring into the empty piece of plot. Nevertheless,as usual, Jamie can't be bothered even if she has a closed encounter with the kangaroos or koalas or not. **which obviously none is spotted at the zoo!!***
