Bought this Geomag colored panels so that Jamie can build 3 dimensional objects. Though mine are non-Geomag bars, good thing these panels are quite compatible, phew !

Another Milestone!

Teaching Jamie to write her chinese name has always been a challenge to me so I subtly introduce some basic strokes via cdrom & books when she was barely 3yrs. Though she knows the characters but writing is another issue. It takes the child alot of effort to write it neatly and strokes have to be accurate too. Just days ago, she asked me how to write her chinese name. As I was havng my shower, I vaguely remembered giving her instructions and when I was out of the bathe room, I got a shock! She's almost there ecxcept the last word "Min". I am so proud of you, Jamie!

Fireworks @ Esplanade

The last time I brought the kids to catch a glimse of the fireworks was 2 years back in 2006 when Jeremy was only few months old and Jamie, 2years+. We took a train and met Sherie and her 2 kids there. Though it was a short 5mins presentation, I'm glad that we can be part of the crowd, admiring & enjoying watching during this festive season. CQ was there too but he was wif 2 other frens who are also like him, enjoy keeping their passion alive. See here for more of his masterpiece.

Lou Hei @ Vegetarian Restaurant

Every year on the 1st day of CNY, we will sure to dine at this vegetarian restaurant. Food is so-so and I think their standard has dropped. This is our only pix family pix taken during CNY so far. Will probably have our family pix taken @ home studio this coming weekends.

Reunion Dinner wif Shellen's Family

We had our advanced reunion dinner tonight cos like me, both my elder sisters need to have reunion dinner wif their in laws so we will host it earlier from our side. Every year, my sisters' maids will chip in to assist my mum during the preparation and cooking of the food. Since both maids had just gone back and the current ones are pretty new, my mum has to cook most of the dishes herself. Nevertheless, my mum's cooking hasn't really changed much though age has been catching up wif her and she must be exhausted after the long day in the kitchen. Thank you mother!

What's down there?

Caught this special moments........they fight, snatch, chase & do all sorts of naughty stuff but this is one of the quiet moments I enjoy seeing :D

Ice Ice Baby

Took out an ice and let Jeremy has some fun on it. Though he is still too young to understand the concept of different forms that water can turn into, I supposed he still enjoyed exploring the cold cold icy ice, seeing it melted away!

Tying the Knot

Eight years ago, we were seemingly busy at Chijmes getting ready for that BIG moment in our life. Yes, big moment of changes when we were to be separated from our parents, to face our new challenges together, a place where we called it ~ home. We were filled with excitement & joy yet uncertainty laid the path ahead of us. Now looking back, we thank our God for His provisions, His abundant grace and blessings, seeing us through all ups and downs that we have encountered and will be. Happy Anniversary, CQ!

DIY Tambourine from Sunday School

Jamie showed me this art & craft work she did after church today. She said there are some beans inside which produces a nice crystal clear sound when she shakes the tambourine. She can draw stars better now.

Paper Folding

Asked Jamie to cut out the colored shapes and we did this miniature birthday cake. Nice? This "Origami" bk that I got it in replacement of the actual out of stock Origami bk also not too bad. It has many cute lil handicraft works for the child to do!
Got this 3 cute wind up miniature insects from Toysrus. When these are wind up, one can see the wings moving up and down as if its really flying!

Jeremy 1st Take Home Work

The teacher handed me a blue workbag when I went to school to fetch my boi home. Here's what's inside together with some notices from the school.
The chinese booklet. Inside the book, there's about 5 words, 1 word per page. Right now, I am doing quite a fair bit of reading with Jeremy since he just started to enjoy reading. Other stuff I'm doing at home are, reading, coloring, painting, drawing, learning via cdroms and some simple practical life exercises etc.

Back to School

I am on cloud nine when Jeremy finally is back to school today!! Just days ago, I asked him if he wanted to go to school and he said "NO!" . This morning, when I raised the same question again, I got a "Yes" answer from him!

Flu Jab

Just yesterday, it suddenly daunted on me that I should go for my jab as its almost a year since I last took it. And this time, I asked Jamie to go for the jab too, assuring her that it won't be painful and it will be swift. I'm hoping that she will not develop any side effects after this. She will proceed to school after the jab....

Yea finally! Tell you, Jamie is a very brave girl cos the jab is quite painful no wonder she yelled sooo loud and cried for about 10mins. Prior this, she was so happy and looking forward to see the doctor woh!
