Shiong Ah!
This coming week's schedule going to be very tight for me as Jamie's Mandarin Speech & Drama lessons (used to be once every Sat morning) happens to start tomorrow till Friday , 830-10am as according to them , alot of parents are going for a holiday in December, so they push forward all Dec lessons to this week! Hopefully I can manage my time well and it will not be too tiring for Jamie to attend 2 different lessons with only an hour break.

Storytelling Workshop
Was away this afternoon for a 3hours session of Introduction toStorytelling for Sunday School Teachers. Since I have been asked to take over the storytelling session at the N1 class from my church, thought this probably will give me a better insight of what's storytelling is all about. Indeed, I have learnt alot from the speaker, Ms Sheila Wee. I am very inspired by her deep passion in making stories come alife! There's definitely alot more for me to learn and experience with my kids. Here's an extract of Why Tell Stories from Asian Storytelling Network.
Bukit Batok Fire Station
Siren ! Siren ! Siren!! Yes, we were at the fire station this morning around 11am with my frens and their kids. It was an eye opening for the children as well as the adults ! We were ushered around the station, getting to know how the firemen operates internally as well as getting ready for a resue, be it, a fire or an accident! The kids had so much fun getting into the ambulance, fire engine, motorbike, trying out gears and helmets, smoke mask, taking photos with full armoured firemen and of course I think the kids enjoyed the best was having an experience to hold the long heavy hose that sprayed out strong and forceful water! We ended the excursion wif a group pix taken wif the firemen as well as some sourvenirs for us to bring home !

Excursion to the Zoo
Have been to the zoo a couple of times but I can say this is the BEST excursion that we ever had! Firstly, Jamie & I have been praying for good weather a day before and God who is faithful answered our prayer ! Weather was so cool and we din sweat throughout the entire 1/2 day except when the kids were at the playground. Secondly, I purposely planned this trip with a suggested itinerary started from 9am till 1pm. So we got a chance to sit back and enjoyed 4 shows ! And thanks to my fren that we all were entitled free admission to the zoo and so wif the extra cash, we used it for a decent lunch (not KFC or Mac!) , tram rides & a professional group photo taken for us :-)

Zoo Phonics Trial Lesson
Was with Jeremy this morning during the 2hours trial lesson. This boy, cannot sit still during the art & craft sessions. So difficult to catch his attention! But he did well during the mandarin & english story telling time and music & movement session. I'm still thinking if I should enrol him for once a week lesson at Zoo Phonics or not. Shall wait till next Friday when he's done with Montessori trial lesson.
Thank You, Teachers!
These are 2 of the 4 scrapbooking DIY cards that I did it a day ago for Jamie's form teacher, assistant teacher, chinese & music teachers. Told Jamie that she has to learn to appreciate all her teachers who have taught her for the past 1year. I have seen the teachers' reports & comments, form teacher & chinese teacher said that she has make a lot of progress and has learnt to interact and socialise with her friends well as compared to the earlier year when she was so quiet and reserved. These cannot be accomplish if I homeschool her.

Christmas Party @ School
Jamie woke up early this morning and happily dressed up in green top (as requested by her teacher, either red or green or combination of both) to attend her 1st school's Christmas party! I was there watching the children singing and the K2 kids performing on stage for the one last time b4 the principal bid them off with prayers for the group. The children were ushered into their respective classrooms for the makan & exchange gift session. I'm beginning to miss all these when she moves on to another school next year :(

Christmas Presents
Did this for Jamie this time. As Christmas is just around the corner, its also a time of sharing and giving to demonstrate God's love. So I have generously bought 24 pencil cases with a magic eraser, colored pen, chocolate biscuits & a personalised card for all her classmates. Hope this will indeed be a season of unselfish giving for God gave us His Son to us while we are yet sinners. Thank you for Your unfailing love!

How Tall Will You Be?
Ever wondering how tall your child will be when he/she reaches their adulthood? Here's an interesting estimated adult's height calculator. Surprisingly Jeremy will probably be at 1.70m while Jamie will be around my height at 1.63m though Jeremy is slightly shorter than Jamie in his statistics taken so far.

Stomach Flu
Yes I got since yesterday but thank God it has been mild with occasions diarrhoea and fever. Totally different experience when I had it the previous round. One thing for sure, I'm taking E.Excel supplements which has helped me to recover much faster apart from the anti vomit & paracetamol tablets.

23rd Months Old
Jeremy has grown alot more these days. His neck is slowly "emerging" and soon he will pass his babyhood (below 2) and into what we normally called, preschooler. Now he is capable of doing alot more things than we can imagine. He has always been our lil baby since day 1.... one can see him running after his jie jie, imitating Jamie as much as he could. Screaming, jumping, climbing up the sofa and chairs, leaning over the window to see the passing vehicles etc. One thing I'm sure both of them have in common, that is, he loves to hold something and its usually his fav cars , lol!!!!!

Why Need for Creative and Critical Thinking NOW?
Received flyers from Jamie's school this afternoon. Interestingly, its about a unique learning programme known as John Langrehr Thinking Program (JLTP) originated from Australia. This programme has been running for the pass 1year at the school and due to great response and positive feedback , the school will be continuing it for K1 class next year. I was very curious about this programme and did a quick research from the net. The fee is reasonably affordable at $53pm. The only thing is, it will be on every Wednesdays from 130-230pm which will be carry out during school hours. I will need to check it out with her principal regarding the timing before any decision is made.

Messy Doodle
Arrrggghhhh!!!!!!!
This boy ah sometimes can really be a BIG headache for me. He is just like his papa, too active, restless & mischievious and I have to think of creative ways to stimulate him to learn for that few minutes. Here, I'm trying to teach him to thread though he did a similar one before. But this set is sure a challenge for him. Think I have to dig out the other buttons set which I think should be much easier to accomplish for his tender age.

Present for Jeremy
No More Wisdom???
These 2 wisdom teeth were once happily sharing & enjoying the taste of thousands of sumptuous meals that I had till I decided its time for them to bid goodbye 2days ago. I'm still in the mist of recovering. No worries, can talk, can laugh and only slight pain around my jaw but bearable. Thank God that i can eat as usual except certain food to avoid.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ask me about the ordeal? Hmm, not as scary though I was quite terrified by the drilling & pressure that I heard & felt. Also not forgetting the 3 injections at the bottom as well as one on top (not that painful but the thought of something poking into your mouth set my heart pumping really fast ley!!!!!). The aftermath is much much better than the whole process except constant clearing blood out of my mouth for about 3-4 hours & deduction of a total of $647 (inclusive of bottom wisdom tooth surgery, extraction of top wisdom tooth, xray & admin fee for deduction from cpf a/c) off CQ's medisave. Oh yes, also my swollen face which is suppose to subside within a couple of days. Heng I don't have any bruise marks on my face as I was already being told.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Please, serious really no pain but just eeeeee-yucks lor, fully awake some more. Luckily I shut my eyes completed tight & consciously keeping my mouth wide :D .. And I have to go through this again for my other side bottom & top wisdom teeth some time when I'm ready. Which dental clinic ? Q&M Dental Surgery ......

Cool Weather
Today's weather quite good, neither cold hor sunny so the moment Jamie went to school, I quickly packed up and proceed to the swimming pool! Jeremy finally can take over his wetsuit from Jamie !! Yea, !!
And after the swim, I brought him to the Japanese restaurant for my fav soup udon while Jeremy had his homecooked noodles too! Back home, in his quiet moments, he picked up his board book, sat down at a corner and started to talk to himself.
