Happy Birthday, Jamie!

Looking at Jamie now... I really couldn't believe my eyes that she is now 5! It's been 5years I have been home with her, seeing her growing, learning and succeeding in every of her little milestones. This is my priviledge as her mom. I thank God for His grace and loving kindness upon our daughter. I pray that Jamie will continue to grow to become the lady that God has intended for her.

Thank God It Has Been Great!

Wah... finally its over! I thank God for the wonderful party that Jamie and her lil guest had enjoyed so much! I am thankful for our helper who has been my right hand man for all the wrapping of presents, packing of the goody bags, pasting and sticking of labels etc. With her around, I do not rush or fuss over during the preparation for the party. Thank God for my dad & his fren who are willing to tag along wif me. I cannot imagine how I'm going to lug all the barang barang if not for them. And when we reached there, I was so shocked to find some folks & caterer still packing from the previous party 10mins b4 5pm ! Everything was in a mess and without any hesitation, I gently asked for "permission" to do the setup and deco. Just before the party commenced at 6pm, everything was up and ready to welcome the first guest! Pixs to be uploaded when CQ gets it from his colleague who was the photographer for the party. Finally I have finished all the stuff for the party! Hurray!

Count Down

3 days to go before Jamie's birthday party !! I am excited yet worry that things will not turn out as what I intended it to be. I am hoping that the kids will have lotsa fun and most importantly, for Jamie to have a good memory of her 1st party with her friends.

1st Late Submission Homework

It was intentional to submit Jamie's school work later than the cut off date. I was filled with lots of things in my mind in the mist of preparation of her birthday party and our new house on top of the daily chores to follow up with. But I'm glad that we finally did it! We were 2 days late. Here's the final artwork we did w/i few mins when I had the inspirations of how to do up an insect using scraps materials as instructed.

What I'm Busy with?

This week is very crucial for me and CQ. Me ? Yup I'm rushing to finish up Jamie's ballet scrapbook (above) and CQ his photography project with a corporate client as well as the new house. We have never felt so busy before!

Jamie's 1st Year in School 2007

I've finally completed her 1st year of school at JCK. The album will be open for viewing during her birthday party next Sat.

Greetings for Singapore

This is one of the longest timeline given by Jamie's school. I received it on 3rd July and submission date is 18th! Still have one more artwork to do with her and gotta hand up by 21st July.

Invitation

Every year we will host Jamie's birthday party with mostly immediate relatives invited. However, this time round, I feel that we should focus on the lil guest instead. So I went "out" to invite those friends that Jamie wants them to attend. Just pray that the children will have lots of fun and I will have the capability to run such a party.

Renovation for Our 2nd Home-To-Be

Ever since the collection of keys on 29th May, we are still busy with things for the new house... and will be... As the date to completion is drawing nearer, we are getting more busy than ever! Plus the fact that I am also preparing for Jamie's birthday party (and her scrapbooks!) 2 weeeks later, hence, every day is fill with lots of things to accomplish. My life has never been so busy before!

Ikea Shopping Spree

It's been quite a long time ago when we did a huge shopping list at Ikea... 8years ago :o This shall be the children's bed at the new house, Jamie's fav!

Godly Woman ?

This morning I went for a 4hours workshop at our church, alone. Yup, I've signed myself up for the 2years programme. Hmm, its a wise choice indeed. At the end of the session, I was feeling kind of relieved perhaps knowing that I will be recharge and refresh, hopefully will get a new understanding of my purpose and destiny in life!

Banana Bread using AMC Pot

I had a cooking session with a fren who brought along the AMC sales rep to do some demo using their pots. This time, we did banana bread, egg tarts and fry a plate of vegetable dish w/o much oil and water. Great!

Busy, Busy, Busy!

If you ask me what I'll be busy with, well, preparing Jamie's scrapbooks b4 the party on 26th July! Already have 2 albums on hand to be completed by mid July (hopefully) so that I can complete 1 more b4 the party.

The Straits Time School Pocket Money Fund

Hahha we didn't even realised what our children were performing for till tonight! CQ gave some coins to Jeremy to donate into the metal tin during intervals and received a thick booklet. So this is what it's for...."The Straits Time School Pocket Money Fund was initiated on the Children's Day (Oct 1st) in the year 2000 by The Straits Times, to heighten public awareness of the plight of children from low-income families who were attending school without proper breakfast, or pocket money to sustain their day in school. The aim is to alleviate the financial burden faced by parents in providing for their children's education. At the same time the funds will help children who are already facing difficulties in remaining in school to stay on."

The Straits Time Charity Show Full Dress Rehearsal

Finally ! Tomorrow and Saturday will be the actual performance. This will be a very good exposure for Jamie for performing on the big stage at Hwa Chong Institute.

Maze

I have been training Jeremy with lots of maze activities during this Term 2 when he is away from school. Now he has improved alot as compared to earlier months when he couldn't even follow the paths well.

Sunday Morning with Papa

Jamie has been complaining about her throat (itchy n painful) as well as being tired. I supposed it might be due to late nights bedtime esepcially this week. So I went to church with Jeremy while CQ and Jamie had some private time alone. Back home, I was presented with this card that he did... no wonder Jamie said she has a "good" time with papa!! I also was surprised that she did some homework that I've placed it casually on the table.

June School Holiday Craftworks

We did this within a day. And as expected, the leaves withered so fast so no point doing it weeks ago. Or else chances are, I will have to re-secure the leaves' corners with sticky tape again.

Zoo Visit with Eunice's Family

Thank God for the very good weather despite the heavy downpour early in the wee hours. The kids have lots of fun especially Jamie & Yutong. And all of them got a chance to ride on the horse too! This is one of the excursion that I like...cos free for Jamie (from GainIQ) and 50% off for the adults (thks to Eunice's hb!) while Jeremy who is below 3, free too!

Visit to Dentist @ Smiles

It's their yearly visit again. This time I'm so glad that Jamie sat through the checkup and had her teeth polished ! And Jeremy, brave too! (perhaps its this fun ride that he's looking fwd after the checkup?) The dentist said no need to clean or polish his teeth, checked, ok. And I've 15% off for being a Star member of Toysrus!

Happy Father's Day

Morning when to the market to get 2 stalks of flowers for papa and Dagu whose bday happened to fall on Father's Day this year. Also get Jamie to do up 2 separate cards as well.

Today Jeremy was coached by his papa for his usual "sch-wk", some doddling and reading.

Story Island Hand Puppet Theatre Camp

This shall be Jamie's last holiday camp this June holiday. This will run from today till Thurday, 930-130pm. A good timing since our helper is away for home leave. Hope she will learn something through this camp while I will be busy with Jeremy at home.

Holidaying @ Bintan Nirwana Gardens

This is our 3rd resorts trips since Jeremy's birth. Seems like for now, such short trips suit us best till probably another year or two when he is bigger than we may consider going further. Nirwana Gardens has better food choices vs Holiday Inn Batam. Beach is supreme for the price we are paying. However we are not so impressed with its room amenities. This time we took a late evening ferry back and by the time we reached home, its already almost 9pm! This is our ONE and ONLY family photo taken so far.

Ballet First Upcoming Performance

As usual, I stood outside the door, peeping at Jamie. Strange, there's another teacher apart from Ms Yap. And the kids were seemed to be doing some kind of performance. But I'm not so sure and was quite puzzled till we were told to meet at the office for an announcement. True enough, we were told that Jamie's class has been selected to be one of the performing groups come 4th & 5th July at Hwa Chong! What performance?? Haha, I've forgotten about it! Though it's not mandatory which some parents didn't gave the teacher their reply, I've told the teacher that Jamie will be participating as I think this will be a great opportunity for her. Thank God she's also eager and willing to try :D

Mind Your Business, Vemo!

This is Jamie and the 2 groups of kids acting as the octopus & turtle. The class of 20 kids were happily dancing and performing for their parents to mark the end of the speech & drama camp. Jamie was a little reserved when come to public performance but still she was bold and did some movement here and there. So cute!! Btw, she's one of the octopus.

Finally

After waiting for 4years after the announcement of en-bloc at our estate, we finally took our keys this morning. Cannot believe that we have actually waited for 10years to own a new flat! Well, at least our prediction has come true :)

I've never thought of trying out using oil pastel till this morning when she did the ladybird using oil pastel. And I also din realised that I have a box of oil pastel sitting in the study room!! So I took it out and let the children have some fun !

Kinderart Trial Lesson

Morning brought Jamie to her school for an hour of trial session. We were allowed to sit in throughout the lesson. After a brief explanation on how to draw and color the ladybud using oil pastel, the children quickly sat themselves down and started doodling. Here's what Jamie did. Well done with 3 different colors selected as instructed by the art teacher.

Magical Moments Holiday Camp (25-30May)

As we will be collecting keys for our new house tmr, meaning, I will not have time to organise any school holiday programmes for Jamie, I have arranged alternative for her. This week, Jamie will be attending a 5 days English Speech & Drama Camp hosts by Magical Moments at the nearby CC. Here's what she did for the past 2 days.

Victoria Theatre

Here's a glimpse of the stage before it commenced. And there's Jamie's ballet friend, Elizabeth. One thing I have learnt, we need to have good seating, preferably first few rows in order to enjoy the entire drama :)

Reluctant Dragon / Winds in the Willow

We will be catching 2 musical entertainments by Kenneth Grahame this coming Saturday! I'm very excited as this will be our 2nd time watching a play at a theatre! This time, Jamie's friend, Elisabeth and her mommy will be joining us :) ===============================================
