My 13mth Bonus!!

Tada!! Thanks papa!

Blessed Christmas

This year is very much "quiet" indeed!! Cos we didn't have our usual Christmas party at home as my parents were in Malaysia during this season wif my sister and her family. Nevertheless, it's also good for me since part of my time is wif Josh now. But we had an impromptu dinner at our place wif CQ's family and the kids had lotsa fun playing wif their cousins too. Merry Christmas!

We finally had a short gathering wif Levine & her son, Ivan!! It's not easy for both of us to meetup as we dun stay near each other. Though its a short 1hr+ gathering, we had a good time together. And as usual, learnt some magic tricks from her lor!

MV Doulos @ Vivo City

This evening we went to Vivo City to meet papa after his work ended. It was meant to be a night of "presents" hunting for Jamie & Jeremy but we ended up visited Doulos while waiting for papa. Jeremy was very happy and had been pestering me to bring him to a real ship days ago and finally this lil boy has his wish come true!!

Semi Solid Food

I took Josh's pediatrician's advise (early intro' suppose to reduce bb allergy) and started him on some puree today. Surprisingly he is SUPER ready for it!! And yelled when we din feed him fast enough! But I don't intend to feed him daily though.. afterall he is only 4mths+. To me, its a lil too soon to start weaning him. Will probably do it once or twice a week and then rest for another week or so b4 start him again.

Counting Down

Finally received the school's letter regarding Jamie's class allocation as well as things to bring along on 1st day of school. Everything has been prepared, from ironing of school uniform to packing of her books etc, now is just counting down to the BIG day...

Hotwheels New Gadget Diecast Car

This was one of Jeremy's bday presents which I didn't give him. Since he was asking for present, I decided to let him have it. We were all in awe on how swiftly the car changed its color within split seconds!!

Abacus Practise

While I was coaching Jeremy, Jamie on the other hand, was doing her usual daily abacus activities. She is now into advanced stage and soon she is going into multiplication b4 end of this year.

Home Practise

It's been quite some time Jeremy hasn't been practising using his fine motor skills and here , Jeremy is taught to stack up knobless cylinders using his logical skills as well. Not easy cos he needs to arrange for the thinnest to the thicknest in terms of width and height.

Spindle Box

After that, I also started revising number bonds and counting using the spindle box wif him.

Backdated

Jamie started to swallow capsules last month, 11th when she suddenly out of the blue, asked me if she can try to swallow. And to my surprised, she did it!! And now, its so much easier to feed her supplements. And this Jeremy, upon seeing how his sister did, he also asked me to allow him to try. Guess what? He did it too!!! That's the power of peer pressure, whahhahaaa!

Story Island Holiday Programmes (8-10 Dec)

Today is the last day of the morning camp and here is Jamie receiving her "award" for being the best script memorising kid. I think she has enjoyed herself very much during the 3 days camp cos at the end of the last day, she requested to study at Story Island again (after 1/2yr break).

School Uniform

Finally settled her uniform this afternoon! *pardon me wif her crank, tired look as we went directly to the school after the chinese camp*

Maclaren Quest

Josh doesn't like the Lucky Baby Capella stroller (sold it off lately) & I managed to buy over this from a fren whose gal has outgrown. I think I've made a right choice... see how relaxed Josh was? This was his 1st time riding on it and b4 long, he had already dozed off!!

I have almost forgotten that I have this sling and before I can use it on longer period, its already sold to a mummy! Joshua seems to like it so I will have to get another sling from a fren who is using another one fot her gal.

New Shoes

Jeremy outgrown shoes pretty fast. Still remembered the last time I got him a pair of shoes was when his feet no longer fit into his shoes which he wears to school earlier this year. Since its his birthday, that gives me an excuse to get him 1 new pair.

Happy Birthday Jeremy!

Cannot imagine 4 years ago, I'm already in hospital waiting to give birth. Jeremy is a special child to me. He recognised my voice right from birth! He was a little fragile and his heartbeat rate was rapid hence was in ICU for a day or so and couldn't swallow down milk. We were very concerned and prayed hard. Thank God he started to drink well after our 1st closed up visit to the neonatal care on the 2nd day. So he was off the drip and on the 4-5th day, we all went home together. Anyway, we didn't put up any grand party for him but decided to give him little surprises throughout the day. Here's the 1st 3 surprises so far.

Turning 4 Tomorrow....

Jeremy is recovering very well and thank God for giving me wisdom in bringing him to see a family doctor yday morning. His fever has already subsided since late last night after administering of antiobiotic to him. He is as per normal today and by tomorrow we should be able to celebrate his birthday as planned. Yea!

Kumon Puzzles

Managed to get good lobang for some very durable, thick easy to fix puzzles for the children. Particularly like the individual boxes to store the puzzles. Very organised. Hope to get all the transportation themes for Jeremy so as to create a deeper & keen interest in solving the puzzles.

Falling ill First Time!!

How can a baby who is breastfed falls ill at 3months 20days old? Isn't it too soon?? Beats me.. this is what happened to Joshua today. Apparently he develops phlegm while coughing and then has runny nose out of the sudden. Nobody is ill except him. Good thing I managed to find a paediatrician nearby and quickly took him to see the PD.

Double Eyelid

See his double eyelid???? Dunno y it suddenly appeared on BOTH eyes!! Yes both.. usually only on one of his eyelid. Very beautiful big eyes indeed...

Self Explore

Joshua has been "admiring" his fists since weeks ago. And he loves to put both into his little mouth!! Oh gosh!

Qian Zi Tong

Initially wanted to get this to train Jeremy but ended up I think Jamie appreciates this much better. Nevertheless I will still be using this to introduce new words to him on day to day basis.

Final Year Assessment

Met Mdm Soh for Jeremy's academic assessment after a year of study at JCK. He has indeed made good progress in almost all areas of assessment. My only concern is ...when is he going to write ah??? Other than that, he is considered an above average kid among his peers.

Tuesday, November 17, 2009

Good Bye, JCK!

All the K2s were on stage this morning for their last performance before leaving the Kindergarten. They sang about 6 songs, each holding a candle. Really missed those days when Jamie was on stage performing wif her classmates.....these shall be good memories for a lifetime.

Early Birthday Celebration

Jeremy wanted to do it in school and so I did one for him wif goody bags & a cake chosen by himself just a day before school holiday starts tomorrow. He was soooo happy n I am glad to see him so independant & sensible now vs a year ago. Here's a photo of Mdm Soh, his form teacher wif Jeremy.

P1 Orientation

It was early, 9am. Jamie along wif CQ and I were at the school's orientation this morning. We were separated from her the moment we were there. We were ushered to the hall and briefed for an hour's of introductions from the principal and various teachers-in-charge. The next 1/2hr or so was more of administrative whereby we have to fill in & submit various forms. Everything ended around 11am. Didn't buy any textbooks or uniforms at the moment. Oh yes, Jamie said she was "tested" in English & Maths as well as some reading. Overall, she said its easy. Hmm, the school will inform us which class she will be allocated next month. Pray that she will be in one of the better class.

K2 Final Meet the Teachers Session

Today was Jamie's last and final round of meeting her teachers. We were kind of late (reached almost 12noon whereby the latest time to meet the teachers was 1230pm!) and I thought there shouldn't be much crowd afterall it began at 830am. However I was wrong! There were still a handful of parents who were like me, who also came late!
*****
Anyway, somehow I wasn't very eager to know how she faired this later part of the year but was rather busy bringing her around the school, taking photos wif her friends and giving out farewell gifts to the principal and teachers. After meeting the form teacher and Yan Lao-Shi, it was concluded that Jamie has "run the race well" and I'm happy wif her performance. She wouldn't have gone so far if not because of what God had done in her life. Praise the Lord!!
