Life Cycle

Recently I bought this little egg experiment wanting to demostrate to Jamie the life cycle of a duck/chicken etc. She had fun watching it "grow" !

Thursday, 29th June : Singapore Science Centre

Nowadays Jamie has been bugging me to play something with her and she seems to "outgrown" all her toys at home. So I decided to bring her to the Science Center to widen her knowledge. We didn't manage to explore all the areas and will re-visit again next month before she turns 3 (free admission for below 3, haha!!)

Keep Toys

This was re-told by our maid.... <one particular night before bed>

Baby Signs

It has never occurred to me that I should impart some baby signs to Jamie when she was a little infant though I am competent enough to communicate to my hearing impaired frens. To me, signing to a newborn is a challenge and little do I believe that babies will sign as a matter of fact that they are babies!!

I was wrong!

Now with Jeremy, all those "missed chance" that it didn't come to pass on Jamie, now I do it on Jeremy. I started it off with 3 basic signs, namely, milk , sleep & eat. As I do not want to disappoint myself, I did it on casual basis.

Guess what?

After barely less than a week, now he can tell me when he wants to drink milk & this morning, he was able to sign "sleep" twice indicating that he want to nap! Whippee!! Hurray!!

I am exceptionally over the moon!! So now, I'm moving on with more signs ..... :D

Jamie : 1 More Month / Jeremy : I Can Sit

Time flies.... Jamie's turning 3 exactly one month later !! Wow, and she has grown from a toddler to a young preschooler. She has acquired so much knowledge through these years and has already crossed so many milestones in her formative years. I have no regrets being able to witness all these since Day 1. Below picture showed Jamie succeeded in blowing bubbles (21/6/06)

And by chance, I found out that Jeremy can actually sit on his own !!! Probably started few days or a week ago....

Excursion

We went to the Zoo this morning at 9am with frens & their children. Weather was good and instead of getting to know as many animals as possible, we ended up spending most of our time lunching at the Sea Lion performing deck and then our usual last pit stop .... Children's World Playland ! As expected, Jamie was a little conservative to explore the area. However, after getting herself familirise with the surroundings, she was found happily playing and it she was so relunctant to leave the playground ! Papa.. shall we go again?

Happy Father's Day

Jamie did this for her papa during her 1st Sunday School visit at our frens' church today. I have been observing her from afar on and off as I was so worried that she may not sit through the entire 1.5hr. To my pleasant surprise, she was behaving well, happily playing, singing and dancing with the teachers and children. She even to the extend, tried to pacify (gave a toy to her) a crying girl whose mother had just left the class. We didn't expect her to adapt to the new environment so well! At least our hearts are at ease, knowing that she can come back again :)

Evening @ New Playground

Yesterday, CQ promised Jamie that he will bring us out after dinner to the new nearby playground. Seeing how careful Jamie moved about at the playground, we realised that that afterall she isn't an adventurous girl.

I Can Do It

Today Jeremy finally poo into the toilet bowl!! In fact, I'm suspecting that he already toilet trained cos on many occasions, he managed to urinate into the toilet bowl when we managed to catch him on the right time!

A Day Out

Photos were taken at Siloso beach & Rasa Sentosa Hotel on Sunday (4th June). Weather was good and it was an enjoyable time out with CQ's parents & siblings & nieces.

Got this seat for Jeremy to sit upright so that he can take his meals in a sitting position.

Hi-5 Concert

Jamie went for her ever first children's concert last Saturday with her cousins, Cheshire & Lucas. It was also my ever first children's concert that I have ever watched!! During the first half of the concert, Jamie sat quietly and stared at the stage. No clapping, no dancing, no yelling..... However after the 15mins break, she resumed back to her usual self!!

Potty Training

These days I will put Jeremy on the portable toilet seat before his shower in attempt to prepare him for his potty training. Hope this will helps to be potty trained when he is bigger. (5.5mths old)

Our Girl

This is Jamie, 34th month old, just 2 months before her 3rd birthday. Many said she has grown more like me.

Family Photo

One particular sunday morning, we had an unusual photo sessions with the kids which normally we would not be doing it. Seeing their expressions brighten up the day and surely it was fun. ** Surprisingly Jeremy was able to sit on his own for quite a while before falling back onto the bed.

Fav Toy

Jamie has finally "noticed" our Ikea glass showcase that has been in our living hall for almost 3 years! Of course she's not the least keen in the showcase but those colorful TY beanies!! (14th April 2006)

Hair Lost

Jeremy has been dropping hair since weeks ago.. and ironically, I have noticed that I'm also dropping alot of hair during combing n washing my hair!!! Was so worried about lossing my long black hair and was on the verge of seeking a hair specialist help when I read up from a forum that it's very common to shed some hair 3-4months after giving birth. Many gave testimonies that their hair grew back shortly within a year without any medication. Phew! Hopefully mine will soon stop and please grow back!!

The April Fool's Bday

Today's we celebrated my bday at home. Wasn't my intention to celebrate as I have not been doing it since school days. Probably becos my bday falls on April Fool Day which I deliberately keep it low key so as to avoid and prevent any sabotage from frens. But CQ has it all planned. The outing to Swensens for a nice meal, the mini party with 4 frens and the food. Thank you hubby for the wonderful effort and though I was a little bit stressed up with Jeremy during the night but overall, it was memorable. Thanks KH & wifey & Au's family for making the night a special one for us!

Big Sister

Early this morning, we caught Jamie "babysitting" Jeremy while we were having our breakfast at the dining table. She was trying to play with Jeremy while making strange funny sound .." ah-gu-gu-gu-gu.." supposingly her way of playing with her little brother!

New Playground

We managed to bring both kids to the new playground near our house. It was a huge playground and has very unique and unusual stuff to amuze the kids as well as for the grown ups to keep fit n healthy ! And we also found out that there's another 2 more new playgrounds nearby too!! (26th March 2006, evening 6pm)
