Full Month Celebration

We will be having catered buffet at our house to celebrate Jeremy's full month. Din want to have it a Chevrons as we thought it will be much convenience for Jamie to play freely at home while we busy with the relatives and friends rather that keeping a lookout for her at the chalet. Not sure if this is a good idea but anyway it should be better , I guess. Here's where we put up some of Jeremy's newborn photos.

1st Month Assessment

Brought Jeremy to the paediatrician's clinic for his first checkup yesterday noon. Was expecting his weight to be somewhat around 4kg. However to my surprised, he now weighs 4.4kg!! This would means that he has put on 1.7kg since birth!! Jamie put on 1.3kg when she was a month old (4.4kg too) and I din expect Jeremy to be able to catch up with his Jie Jie so soon. Well done son!!

Mad Week

It has been a tiring and trying week for me since Tuesday when both of our Js are at home with me and only me. The worst period is during midnight when I'm so tired and worn out at the end of the day and yet I couldn't get to sleep soundly. I gotta wake up to feed Jeremy and this "chicken little" don't just satisfies with 1 burp. And every time when he burps, it can be from 10-30mins after feeding. So I'm either trying to stay awake while holding him upright or just put him back into the crib, so that I can catch up with some sleep while waiting for his wailing.

I'm GROWING

Finally Jeremy crossed a month yesteday ! And that would also means that I'm now home alone with a little newborn & an active 29mths old toddler. Since confinement lady left on Sunday morning, I have not been resting well and I don't even have the "luxury" to go to the loo, really ! Hopefully it will be getting better ...soon.

Goodbye 2005.....

Time really flies. Tomorrow mark the new beginning of 2006. Looking back, this year has been a very different year to me and this family. A year full of ups and downs and of course to welcome our beloved Jeremy into this world before kissing goodbye to 2005.

Growing Up

Ever since the birth of her little brother, Jamie already exercised her "big sister" love towards Jeremy. One particular night, she was seen helping the confinement lady to pick up Jeremy's soiled diaper automatically out of the bedroom! Other days, I witnessed her carressing her baby brother's feet, saying "Good Night" to him. It's so heartwarming and assuring...and for now, I dun have to worry about sibling rivary yet. Hope it will never happen.

Sick Bug

Jamie has been coughing since the day we came home from hospital. And her cough has deteriorated till she's now on nebuliser and oral medicine. Just hope that she will recuperate before this coming Christmas seasons. And her papa also has been coughing on and off... haiz...

Slimming Programme ?

I remembered vividly that I put on average 10kg (pre preg weight was ard 47kg) a day prior the operation. Then I was standing at 54.8kg 2 days after giving birth. And shortly 2 weeks later (16/12) when I returned back for my gynae checkup, I dropped another 3kg!!
Wow, now I'm at 51.8kg!! I couldn't comprehend why I lost so much weight just within 2 weeks when I'm eating well ? My confinement lady ensures that I eat lotsa rice, fish, vegetable, herbal soup and fruits daily. However despite all these, I'm really amazed at my speedy weight lost!! Friends who visited me couldn't believe that I have just given birth ! lol!!

Jamie vs Elmo

Was browsing through Jeremy's pixs and found this photo taken at the hospital on the 3rd day after Jeremy's birth. The Elmo was the welcome gift from Jeremy. And I realised that I missed Jamie so much so that when I saw her at the hospital, I couldn't stop talking and hugging her.

Welcome Jeremy!

Finally back from hospital on Tues after staying for another night so that I can breastfeed Jeremy since he's on photo therapy.
Now that a week has passed, I have yet to settle down as now with Jamie & Jeremy, it's a whole new task for me to adapt before my confinement lady leaves in another 3 weeks time. And while I'm trying to cope with breastfeeding Jeremy, catching up some rest becomes a challenge for me! My routine basically goes around breasfeeding, expressing breastmilk while yet trying to spend some quiet time with Jamie. Not to mention about stealing some time off to rest and recuperate. It has been a rather tough week for me indeed. And of course logging on to the internet has now become so difficult for me. Basically no time ..

Its THE TIME

Just came home from my regular gynae checkup... dunno if its consider good or bad news. Well, I will be giving birth tomorrow at 38.5 weeks (as baby doesn't seem to put on weight for the past 1 week). Initially Gynae assured us that I will be scheduled tmr to be induce and able to give birth naturally. However, after doing a routine cervix check on me, she has to do a caesarian instead as my cervix is not ready yet and there'll be a chance that my previous c-section wounds may rupture due to the long labour process. Well, hence we have decided to opt for epidural c-section instead of GA so that CQ can be around to witness the birth of our son !
If you ask me, how would I feel about 2nd c-section ?
Mmm... well... probably this time is an elective caesarian, which means time is on my side and I will be well prepared for it. Having enough time to ensure that Jamie is well taken care of etc etc... rather than a sudden labor pain with all the commotion and panicky. And worst of all, I am unsure how I'm going to cope this while at home or outside with Jamie!!
Now, I only hope that I can recover the soonest so that Jamie will not be too much affected by my "immobility". Haha.... and of course, we can celebrate Christmas at home too, yea!!
